When a drive tray does not open when the eject button is pressed or the controller LCD screen does not light up, this usually means the power cable to that particular drive or controller is loose or disconnected.
We recommend the following steps only for machines out of warranty. If your duplicator is still under warranty, please contact us first to have a live technician assist you by phone.
1. Disconnect the power cable from the back.
2. Rotate the machine so you are facing the back of the machine.
3. Remove the four black screws from the back of the machine with any standard Phillips screwdriver.
4. Remove the outer casing of the duplicator.
5. Slide the case toward the back of the machine. It should come off relatively easily. Verify that no metal pieces are touching the power supply in any way.
6. Locate the drive/controller in question. Verify that the power cable is connected correctly.
- If it is connected, attempt to disconnect and reconnect the cable to see if it powers on. If it still does not, see if there is a spare power cable to use or try using a power cable from a drive that is confirmed working.
- If it is not connected, reconnect the power cable and see if it powers on.
If these steps do not fix the issue, contact our tech support team for further assistance.
